Telecommunications Field Technician - 50phr + penalties + Super + $230 per night LAFHA.
Prime Comms is a Western Australian owned and operated company with an excellent reputation as a constructor of telecommunications infrastructure for our clients including Carriers, Tier 1 contractors and mining companies.
We specialize working in the Telstra Space and deliver 5G, LTE and microwave builds for Tier 1 contractors as well mining and other private network operators. We are seeking to increase our internal teams with experienced telecommunications field engineers. With a culture focused on collaboration and high quality delivery we need reliable delivery personnel to join our high achieving team and expand upon our secured business growth in this sector.
THE ROLE
Telecommunications Field Engineer to work on clients sites across Western Australia. You will be highly experienced in LTE/4G/5G and microwave and DC power works. Able to work independently, Understand Build plan drawing, knowledge of Telstra MOPS and you work to a high quality and safety standard.
You will be a Resident of Australia and available to work weekends and remotely. Our work will include Greenfield, 4G/5G Upgrades, Transmission Links, and Brownfield sites in both metro and regional projects. The role is based in Perth and travel required depending on our client's needs.
Laptop & phone provided + Training requirements.
With an increasing base of Trainee's we are looking for experienced Field Engineers who can also support the development process.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Strong attention to detail;
Proficiency at working at heights and other high-risk work activities;
A strong understanding and commitment to HSEQ principles;
Experience working for major network carriers coupled with a strong knowledge of their processes and standards.
Technical requirements for the role include:
Commissioning communication sites and networks
Identify and resolve complex problems in the networks worked on
Support network design
Interpretation of design drawings and telecommunications plumbing diagrams;
Operation of PIM testers, site masters and fibre testers;
Call testing 4G/5G on all carriers.
Installation and recovery of telecommunications wireless radio systems; New & Old Technologies;
Installation of Antenna, Feeder and Grounding systems;
Installation and panning of Microwave systems;
Site Audits, pre and post-dilapidation reports.
SELECTION CRITERIA
Essential:
3 years plus experience as a Telecommunications Field Engineer (Telstra Projects)
Current National Driver's Licence.
Valid Construction Induction card;
Follow HSE Requirements
Telstra Mops Knowledge
Demonstrated ability to communicate and articulate solutions well;
Desirable:
Experienced working in mining, Optus, Vodafone, TPG, projects
Current Working Safely at Heights / Perform Tower Rescue Certificates;
EWP (WP) HRWL;
Current Provide First Aid;
