- Location: Sydney Olympic Park (minimum of 3 days office attendance per week, with hybrid/flexible working arrangements considered)

What You’ll be doing:
An exciting opportunity awaits for a dedicated and experienced Occupational Health Specialist to join our Health & Wellbeing Team at the NSW Rural Fire Service. In this vital role, you will develop and implement evidence-based health assessment, promotion, and monitoring programs that reduce psychological and physical risks in our workplace. It's a chance to make a real difference in the lives of those who selflessly serve and protect our communities.
The Occupational Health Specialist is responsible for, among other things, reviewing members health prior to mandatory physical testing, administration of the fitness passport program, development and facilitations of physical wellbeing training, conducting ergonomic assessments, coordination of health checks, flu vaccinations, and wellbeing challenges and leading physical health promotion projects and programs within the NSW Rural Fire Service.
To thrive in this role, you will have:
- A Degree in applied health sciences, or a relevant allied health discipline.
- Strong experience in occupational health within a complex, safety-critical organisation.
- An understanding of a volunteer-based emergency service agency.
- The ability to communicate effectively and engage with stakeholders to achieve program outcomes.
The commencing salary will be considered in alignment with skills and experience.
