About the Position:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Planning and Performance Analyst to join our Planning, Performance and Risk team on a permanent full-time basis. In this role, you will use your expertise in organisational performance and planning to support the implementation of the City’s Integrated Planning and Reporting Framework, driving accountability and transparency.

You will assist in the annual Council-led Business Planning and Budgeting process, coordinate corporate reporting, and develop and maintain performance databases, dashboards, and reports. You lead the development of establishing key performance indicators, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. Additionally, you will provide strategic and expertise analysis, reporting, and advice to support the delivery of the City’s strategic direction. You will play a key role in enhancing the City’s reporting and analysis capabilities through improvements to SharePoint, the Power Platform suite and associated data systems. You will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to support the delivery of the Strategic Community Plan, Corporate Business Plan, and Annual Report.

About the Person:

As a Planning and Performance Analyst, you will work with Council, Executive Leadership, managers and staff to drive business improvements through analysis, process development, and performance reporting, while ensuring alignment with the Integrated Planning and Reporting Framework. You will have strong analytical experience and problem-solving skills, experience in strategic and operational project planning, and the ability to build effective working relationships.

A tertiary qualification in a related field is required, along with advanced Excel skills (including VBA, pivot tables, and data manipulation). Experience with Power Automate, Power Query, Power BI and DAX is essential, as well as highly developed verbal and written communication skills.

This role offers a base salary of $96,594.80 per annum plus super, with an additional Critical Skills Allowance of up to 20% available, depending on the skills and experience of the successful applicant.
