Charter Mercantile is seeking a dedicated Collection Officer to join our professional team on Brisbane North Side, Redcliffe Peninsula.

Duties & Tasks:

About your new role

As Collections Officer, you will make and receive high volume outbound/inbound calls to our customers from our Redcliffe Call Centre. With a flexible approach, you’ll negotiate repayment plans and solutions suitable to our customers’ circumstances.

Your new role involves

· Managing accounts as a contingent agent on behalf of Australia’s largest institutions.

· Make and receive high volume outbound/inbound calls

· Build strong relationships with our customers

· Problem solving and objection handling

· Create positive outcomes by negotiating hardship solutions with our customers

· Comply with all regulatory requirements (e.g., Privacy Act, Debt Collections Guidelines) and adhere to Bank policies and procedures.

· 37.5 hours per week FT between 7.30am – 6.00pm Monday to Friday.

· No late nights or weekends required

· Call centre experience (Banking or Telco preferred)

· Professional telephone manner, excellent communication and interpersonal skills

· Microsoft Office and typing skills: 60+ WPM.

· Ability to stay calm and work effectively in a high-volume dynamic environment
