As an experienced Educational Leader, you will work alongside our team as a coach, mentor and leader. You will be a full time non-contact leader within a supporting and innovative leadership group.

As the successful applicant, your passion for early childhood education will be matched by your reflective nature, sense of curiosity and natural people skills. You will provide management support and assist the Centre Manager in motivating and inspiring staff.

About the Role

As the Educational Leader at Wantirna South Early Learning Centre you will:

Work alongside the Centre Manager, out of ratio, ensuring the team of educators have all the tools to run a safe, nurturing and educational environment

Mentor a team of educators by spending time in the rooms each day guiding practices and offering teaching strategies to the educators

Lead with high expectations of teaching quality and engage conversations that lead change

Develop and maintain strong relationships between educators, families and children

Ensure a high quality, best practice and engaging educational program is provided for all children

Support educators to implement the planning cycle to enhance programs and practice

Identify, plan and implement annual pedagogy goals

Lead the implementation of an inquiry-based program that develops children's learning dispositions

Ensure the centre's philosophy, policies and procedures are always followed.

Lead professional learning initiatives whilst being an active learner.

About You

We are seeking applicants who have;

A Bachelor in Early Childhood Education

Minimum 2 years experience as an Educational Leader

Strong leadership skills - the ability to lead and develop high performing teams

A positive attitude and passionate approach

Sound knowledge and understanding of the NQF and EYLF

Excellent time management skills

Current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management certifications

Eligibility to work in Australia and a working with children check
