The Opportunity

Whiz Kidz Early Learning Centre & Pre School in Dandenong, is seeking an experienced 2iC / Educational Leader to join their brand new 91-place centre. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on the educational programming and curriculum development at our brand new purpose-built service due to open end of May 2025. As this is a dual role the ideal candidate would enjoy being on the floor as well as Educational Leader responsibilities.

Our service will operate Monday to Friday 6.30am - 6.30pm 52 weeks of the year. This position is fulltime, working 38 hours per week on a rotating roster.

Key Responsibilities

Assist the Centre Director in the day-to-day operations and management of the centre

Oversee the planning, implementation and evaluation of the educational program, ensuring alignment with the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards

Mentor and coach educators, supporting their professional development and performance

Collaborate with the team to create engaging learning environments that foster children's learning and development

Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies and procedures

Effectively communicate with families, building strong partnerships to support children's learning

What We're Looking For

Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education

A minimum of 2yrs experience in Educational leadership and proven capabilities in mentoring and developing staff in the early years sector.

Deep understanding of the EYLF and NQS

Current CPR, First Aid certificate and a current WWCC clearance

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families and the team

Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and multitask

A passion for early childhood education and a commitment to providing high-quality care and learning experiences
