We are seeking a passionate and experienced Assistant Centre Director/Educational Leader to join our dynamic team and play an integral role in shaping the future of early childhood education at our centre.
Position Overview:
As the Assistant Centre Director/Educational Leader, you will work closely with the Centre Director to oversee the day-to-day operations of the centre while providing leadership in educational programming. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a dedicated individual to contribute to the development of a supportive and inspiring environment for both children and educators.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the Centre Director in managing the centre’s operations, including staffing, budgets, and compliance with regulatory standards.
Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of high-quality educational programs that reflect the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework (VEYLDF) and National Quality Standards (NQS).
Mentor and guide educators in their professional development, fostering a positive and collaborative team culture.
Ensure that the centre meets all regulatory requirements and best practices in early childhood education.
Build strong relationships with families and the community to foster engagement and involvement in the children’s learning journey.
Provide leadership and direction in the planning and delivery of the curriculum, ensuring individual needs are met through tailored learning approaches.
Maintain a strong focus on child safety, wellbeing, and inclusion.
Support the Centre Director in day-to-day administration, reporting, and compliance tasks.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
A bachelor degree in Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent).
Current Working with Children Check (WWCC) or relevant state-based clearance.
Proven experience in a leadership or educational leadership role within early childhood education.
Strong understanding of the EYLF, VEYLDF, NQS, and other relevant frameworks and regulations.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
Ability to motivate, mentor, and inspire a team of educators.
Passion for providing high-quality early childhood education that nurtures children’s development.
Desirable Skills and Attributes:
Experience in managing day-to-day centre operations, including budgeting and staff management.
Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with families and the community.
A commitment to your own professional development and the development of your team.
