An exciting opportunity exists for a Psychologist/Occupational Therapist/Social Worker – Mental Health Clinician to act as a highly functioning multidisciplinary team member of the Eating Disorder Service (EDS), delivering a high level of discipline specific clinical services and leadership across mental health work units, to stakeholders/customers of the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service and Queensland Health (SCHHS).
The position requires a range of clinical assessment and treatment skills that can be used across the SCHHS mental health settings. The service is recovery oriented, person centred, strengths based, collaborative and empowering; and operates on the premise that consumers can and do recover from mental illness.
Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service (SCHHS) is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south and Gympie in the north.

Key Responsibilities include:
- Deliver high quality, evidence based clinical services and leadership as a member of the multidisciplinary mental health team to consumers with complex eating disorders, their carer's and relevant stakeholders with a focus on planning and provision of clinical care and therapeutic interventions within a recovery and rehabilitation framework.
- Undertake clinical governance activities, such as the development of clinical practices and guidelines that support the continuum of care.
- Provide clinical advice and education to professional and operational teams, relevant service managers and other stakeholders regarding service delivery, utilising high level written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- Comply with the timely and accurate input and collection of consumer related demographic information, diagnosis, outcomes collections and provision of service activity into appropriate applications. The data and information include the electronic entry and completion of documentation to meet legislative requirements, including Mental Health Act 2000 documentation, admissions, discharges and transfers.
Remuneration based pro rata on equivalent full time value up to $157 359 p.a., comprising salary rates: $64.64- $69.55 p.h., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (HP4) (Fixed-Terrm Temporary Part-Time, 53.2hrs p.f. 04.07.2025 to 06.07.2026). About Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service
Public health services in Queensland are provided through 16 Hospital and Health Services (HHS). These are statutory bodies each governed by a Hospital and Health Board. Some public health services are also provided by private providers.
