About us:
Central Queensland Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs Service (CQMHAODS) provides specialist mental health, substance and alcohol related care to residents of Rockhampton, Yeppoon, Gladstone, Central Highlands and Banana areas (catchments in excess of a population of 250,000). Rockhampton is the principal service centre for this area and as such provides the administration of the Mental Health Act, 2016, support for accreditation and implementation of programs as well as acute inpatient facilities for the Central Queensland Mental Health teams.
About the role:
The Psychologist or Social Worker Senior (Youth Alcohol and Other Drugs) specialises in assisting young people aged 12-18 years for the Youth Alcohol and Other Drugs Service (YAODS).
The incumbent will provide a high level of specialist clinical practice in the delivery of drug and alcohol health services to children and young people, as well as their family and carers, within the Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service (CQHHS).
YAODS also provide a high level of advice and consultative services to support improved service provision for young people with problematic substance use within Central Queensland.
About you:
- Psychology: The successful applicant must possess a four-year degree in Psychology (Honours, Graduate Diploma) from an accredited tertiary institution. Full Registration as a Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with a current annual practicing certificate.
- Social Work: The successful applicant must hold at least a tertiary degree (or equivalent) qualification from an accredited tertiary institution in Social Work as well as eligibility for full membership to the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
- Possession of a relevant clinical undergraduate degree from a tertiary institution or equivalence of qualifications in one of the below listed professions and eligibility for registration/membership with the appropriate registration board or professional body.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $157,359 is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $64.64 - $69.55 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
