The Role

Based in the Glandore, this hands-on Sales Assistant role is a blend of physical yard work and customer-facing retail sales. You’ll be supporting customers with their timber needs while keeping operations in the yard running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

Assist customers with timber selection and order processing

Offer product recommendations and suggest add-on sales where relevant

Handle sales transactions and customer phone queries

Operate forklifts and other yard equipment (training may be provided if needed)

Pack and prepare orders for dispatch

Keep the yard clean, safe, and well-organised

Help with stock control

Delivery of orders to sites around Adelaide

Follow all workplace health and safety procedures

What We’re Looking For

Experience in a timber yard, hardware store, or trade-based retail (preferred, not essential)

Strong customer service and communication skills

A solutions-focused attitude and a willingness to help

Forklift licence or willingness to get one

Physically fit and capable of handling heavy lifting

Reliable, team-oriented, and proactive

Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a busy environment

Current drivers' licence essential
