About the role

We are looking for an experienced and talented Head Chef to lead the culinary team at our vibrant restaurant located on the river front of Fremantle. As a full-time Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, menu development, and the delivery of exceptional dining experiences for our customers.

What you'll be doing

Manage and mentor a team of passionate chefs and kitchen staff to ensure the highest standards of food quality and presentation

Develop and refine the restaurant's seasonal menus, incorporating locally sourced, fresh ingredients

Oversee the efficient and cost-effective running of the kitchen, including inventory management, budgeting, and food waste reduction

Ensure compliance with all food safety and hygiene regulations

Foster a positive, collaborative, and productive work environment in the kitchen

Contribute to the overall strategy and direction of the restaurant

What we're looking for

Minimum 3 years of experience as a Head Chef or Sous Chef in a high-volume, fast-paced restaurant environment

Formal culinary training and a recognised chef's qualification

Exceptional culinary skills and a demonstrated ability to create innovative, flavourful dishes

Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a kitchen team

Excellent problem-solving and time management abilities to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Thorough understanding of food safety regulations and best practices

Passion for using locally sourced, seasonal ingredients and a commitment to sustainable food production
