If you are a ‘gun’ project administrator /coordinator seeking a tight knit team environment offering project challenge, learning opportunities and pathways into elevated responsibilities – we want to hear from you??!!
On offer, is a unique opportunity to join a major tier 2, National commercial construction company, in a niche division that responds to major weather and disruption events (fire, storm, flood, hail etc.), ‘making-safe’ and remediating building damage as the ‘first-responders’.
Projects can include restaurants, hotels, churches, schools, sporting facilities, multi-storey apartments etc. and typically involve ‘make-safe works’ up to $1M.
This is an administration heavy role, so we require a suitable professional who is tight on their paperwork and can ensure accuracy of data, tracking and collation.
Your role will be to assist project ‘make-safes’ and preparation for delivery, and requires;
Coordination and engagement of engineers and specialist consultants.
Coordination and engagement of ‘make-safe’ trades and first responders (temp. fencing, demolition and clean-up crews, structural support suppliers / installers, contaminated substance analysts etc.).
Obtaining quotes, undertaking trade price comparisons and issuing purchase orders.
Collating costs, invoices and preparation of progress claims.
Assisting the writing and development of site specific safety plans.
Collating and preparing of monthly cost reports. {Cheops software}.
Assisting the project manager across wider delivery functions.
Make no mistake, this is a fast-paced role, requiring an adaptable, agile, motivated and resilient professional that can manage competing priorities.
Prior experience in a project administrator / coordinator, site administrator, junior contract administrator, building cadet (CA) or general administrator in a commercial build environment would be advantageous.
The team is hard-working, social and performance driven, thriving off an extremely rewarding line of service that responds to clients in times of crisis.
Pathway opportunities will be provided to those that excel and desire higher level accountabilities, whilst career administrators will equally benefit from a company that rewards employees in line with personal and company performance by way of discretionary bonuses.
If the above resonates with you, please apply in writing to Wurf Resourcing via the Apply button below or contact Joe Wurf on (07) 3367 2066 for additional information.
