About the role

The Contract Administration Officer supports contract administration for the Division’s rail network and facilities while providing efficient administrative assistance to the Contracts Team. The role contributes to branch performance by offering ideas for improvement, ensuring compliance with PTA and legislative requirements, and supporting risk management, performance reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives. Additionally, the position plays a key role in fostering a positive safety culture within the workplace and project delivery.

Operationally, the role involves assisting with contract documentation, preparing administrative materials for contract review meetings, and maintaining up-to-date contractual records. The officer ensures timely processing of contractor payments, reconciles accounts, and investigates discrepancies, liaising with contractors, suppliers, and vendors to resolve finance-related matters. They also assist with broader administrative functions to support the Division’s overall efficiency.

About You!

To excel in this role, you should possess:

Experience in financial transactions, invoicing, reconciliation, and administration within finance, contracts, or procurement, with a strong customer service focus.

Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Sound analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet targets.

Proficiency in PC applications, including spreadsheets, with a commitment to safety leadership and personal development.

There are 2 permanent full-time opportunities available for an immediate start. Applicants assessed as suitable through this process may be used to fill similar vacancies both fixed term and permanent that may arise within the next 12 months.
