The role
We are looking for an Assistant Restaurant Manager to assist in leading the team at Ursula’s Paddington.
As Assistant Restaurant Manager of Ursula’s Paddington, you will be proud of the dishes you share with your guests - Moreton Bay bug pasta with crustacean butter, roast duck with chilli, coconut, peach and curry leaf, and our classic dessert of golden syrup dumplings, rum, raisin and malt cream - as well as of our sandstone cellar and extensive beverage list. You will relish seeing team members thrive under your training and guidance, and you will look forward to welcoming regular guests back to the dining room.
In this role, you will:
Supervise the floor to ensure the restaurant’s standards are met and the sequence of service is adhered to through all guest interactions
Assist in managing reservations, guest relations, and service flow
Ensure the restaurant and bar area is always ready for service
Help manage front of house rostering and labour costs, inventory and equipment in line with restaurant bookings and revenue.

Our ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
Passion for restaurants and hospitality
Experience supervising the floor and training team members
Experience working in premium restaurants
Wine knowledge, formal wine training and/or a skilled bartender with strong knowledge of classic cocktails (desirable)
A current NSW RSA qualification.
