St Laurence's College is a Catholic boys school in the Edmund Rice tradition operated by Edmund Rice Education Australia (EREA). The College provides a diverse range of programs to meet the educational needs of the students and its Vision & Mission. Situated in South Brisbane, the College has a number of modern facilities, including the Edmund Rice Performing Arts Centre, a 1500 seat auditorium. These facilities are used for College activities and are regularly used by external organisations.

Applications are invited for a permanent, part-time position of Communications & Public Relations Assistant (3 days per week or negotiable), 7.45am to 3.50pm, to commence as soon as possible or as negotiated with the successful candidate.

The Communications and Public Relations Assistant assists with the marketing, advertising, graphic design, external communications and media strategies at the College.

Under the leadership of the Director of Communication, Development and Events, the Communications and Public Relations Assistant is part of the College Development team and works in collaboration with the College Communications and Public Relations Manager, Events Manager and Enrolments Registrar.

The successful candidate will have:

Previous experience in a similar Communications role/digital design role; or a recent graduate.

Relevant tertiary qualification and/or demonstrated experience.

Experience in graphic design, communications, marketing and/or journalism, would be looked at favorably.

Hold a current Paid Blue Card or be eligible to apply for one.
