My client, who are based in the South-East suburbs of Perth specialise in providing underground pipeline maintenance to a variety of clients within the civil sector. This service-based business are highly reactive and respond quickly to their clients needs.

They are the ones that are called when your average Plumber cannot do the work that is needed! They are currently seeking an experienced HSE Coordinator who will be the company’s first point of contact for all safety matters.

The Role:

Working alongside 10 others in the business, this role will see you responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining their OSH&S policies and procedures whilst ensuring compliance of industry regulations and promoting a positive culture of safe work practices in the business.

Other duties will consist of the following:

• Develop and implement safety and environmental policies for waste management and pipeline work
• Perform risk assessments and safety audits to prevent hazards
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
• Assist where needed for HR related tasks eg: hiring, performance reviews and employee relations
• Create and lead training programs to boost safety awareness and compliance
• Track safety performance and lead improvements based on findings
• Encourage open communication and employee involvement in safety and HR efforts

About You:

To be successful in the role you will need to demonstrate the following:

• Proven experience within a HSE role ideally within waste management although not essential
• Cert IV in OH&S
• Strong computer skills, proficient in WORD and EXCEL (MS Office)
• Full Australian Working Rights
• Be highly organised and able to prioritise workloads (this involves switching your focus from task-to-task without getting flustered)
• Be able to actively listen and effectively communicate with others in a polite and professional manner and provide solution-based outcomes

Details:

• Hours – Mon to Fri 9am-5pm or 8am-4pm (Flexible)
• Salary of approx. $85k - $95k + super (Negotiable upon experience)
• Full-time permanent position with sick pay and annual leave entitlements
