We work across various industries including marine, defense, mining, oil & gas and health & medical facilities, hospitality and many more. With over 36 years’ experience in our core industries and a strong pipeline of upcoming work Lazco is looking to grow our team.

THE ROLE:

We are seeking a young driven individual who shares our values, can work in a small team and has a great attitude. The ideal candidate will assist in supporting management in estimating, project co-ordination & purchasing.

The successful candidate will work closely with the directors & wider company to ensure that all estimates are accurate and meet project requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Estimating:

· Contact clients for information as required to form accurate pricing

· Use first principles to form accurate estimates

· Manage the enquiries register & ensure estimates are submitted on or before required deadlines.

· Identify risks in relation to estimated projects and update the risk register

· Update and maintain material pricing costing sheet.

· Draft quotations and submit to clients, follow up with clients and log feedback.

Project Administration

· Helping with organisation of pre-commencement paperwork & submissions.

· Submitting HSE & Quality paperwork for project work

· Obtaining quotes for raw materials, refrigeration & electrical parts, subcontractors & reviewing

· Purchasing raw materials, refrigeration & electrical parts as required.

REQUIREMENTS:

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

· Ability to work on multiple projects at a range of different project stages concurrently.

· Tafe or university degree in Construction Management or Quantity Surveying would be ideal

· A keen eye for detail

· Solid understanding of Microsoft Office programs especially Excel

· Great written and verbal communicator

· Experience working within the construction or manufacturing industry is preferred but not required.

· Experience in Commercial kitchen supplier, contractor, or designer will be considered favorably
