We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Electrical Estimator to join our team. This role is ideal for a qualified electrician wanting to transition into estimating or someone with strong electrical industry knowledge seeking a career in project estimation. You will work closely with experienced estimators, gaining hands-on training and professional development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and develop cost estimates for electrical projects, considering materials, labour, and equipment.
• Analyse supplier quotations to ensure competitive pricing.
• Assist in compiling tender documents, requests for quotations, and project proposals.
• Generate Bills of Quantities and conduct material take-offs from electrical drawings.
• Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing and negotiate the best value.
• Assist in maintaining supplier pricing databases and project cost records.
• Ensure estimates comply with Australian Standards, electrical codes, and project specifications.
• Support project teams with procurement, budget tracking, and forecasting.

About You:

• Electrical Trade Qualification (Cert III in Electrotechnology or equivalent) preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications.
• 12 months of electrical estimating experience OR a qualified electrician with a strong interest in transitioning to estimating.
• Basic understanding of electrical materials, cable types, lighting, and power requirements.
• Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and SimPRO) or willingness to learn.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with suppliers, contractors, and internal teams.
• Understanding of project cost control, procurement, and change order management is a plus.
• Construction White Card and a valid driver’s license required.
