About the role

As a Junior Structural steel & Metalwork Estimator / Project management at Urban Steel, you will play a crucial role in the estimating process for our construction projects. This full-time position is based in Morisset, NSW, and will involve working collaboratively with our experienced team to ensure accurate and competitive pricing for our clients.

What you'll be doing

Assisting senior estimators in the preparation of project estimates and tenders

Gathering and analyzing data from plans, specifications, and other project documentation

Sourcing and comparing prices from suppliers and subcontractors

Preparing detailed cost breakdowns and reports

Identifying potential cost savings and efficiencies

Collaborating with project managers and other team members to ensure a cohesive approach

What we're looking for

Relevant tertiary qualification in construction, quantity surveying, or a related field

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with detailed numerical data

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Proficiency in using estimating software and other construction-related technologies

Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy

A team-oriented approach and the ability to work collaboratively
