We are on the lookout for a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join the Accounting and Finance team in the Construction industry. This role involves supporting the finance department, accountant, and management team by completing routine clerical and accounting tasks.

Description

• Prepare financial documents such as invoices, bills, and accounts payable and payroll
• Process STP and superannuation payments
• Handle employee onboarding and offboarding
• Process invoices for suppliers
• Reconcile accounts payable
• Creating new vendor accounts and reconciling supplier statements
• Perform petty cash and staff reimbursement
• Other ad hoc tasks as needed

Profile

• Prior experience in end to end payroll and end to end accounts payable
• Proven work experience as an Assistant Accountant
• Excellent knowledge of MS Excel and ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle, experience with Jobpac will be highly regarded
• Good understanding of bookkeeping procedures
• Time-management abilities
• Strong numeracy skills
• Attention to detail
