Casual Assistant Accountant – Belrose

About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Casual Assistant Accountant to join our team in Belrose. This role is perfect for someone with an Accounting Degree or extensive experience in an Assistant Accountant role. The position involves supporting accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reporting functions while ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

Process invoices, payments, and expense claims accurately.

Manage sales orders and purchase orders.

Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with company policies.

Provide AR support, including credit notes, invoicing adjustments, and data updates.

Conduct bank, credit card, and general ledger reconciliations.

Assist with coding, AP, and AR enquiries.

Support month-end and year-end closing processes.

Assist in preparing financial statements, reports, and reconciliations.

Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and other duties as assigned by management accountants or the CFO.

Key Requirements:

Accounting Degree preferred or significant experience in an Assistant Accountant role.

Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial processes.

Proficiency in MYOB Advanced, Prospend, EzyCollect, and Excel.

Ability to upload and manage sales data using Excel templates in MYOB Advanced.

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures.

Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.

Strong communication and organizational skills.
