About the Role

The Australian Institute of Architects is the peak body for the architectural profession in Australia. The Event Lead is an integral part of the Victorian Chapter team, contributing to the Institute’s ongoing growth and supporting colleagues and providing a positive partner, sponsor and member experience, delivering a practical, relevant, and responsive service. Working as the ‘face’ of the Institute to our valued partners, the Partnerships and Event Lead will work to ensure the successful delivery of chapter partner and sponsor contractual deliverables including online events, in-person events, awards, conferences, CPD and other institute programs. This role will also support the chapter team through engaging in industry research, identifying trends and supporting advocacy efforts across the chapter. This is a fixed-term contract position with potential for extension based on performance and organisational needs.

What you will bring

Demonstrated experience in partnership-facing roles, with a focus on sales, business development, partnerships, and event delivery and support.

Experience in finance administration, support, and reporting.

Relevant tertiary qualifications or experience in architecture or business management.

Flexibility to work outside normal office hours on occasion.

High level written and oral communication skills.

Experience in using the Microsoft Office suite of software.
