We have an incredible opportunity for an Executive Officer to the Chief Executive Officer to join our team!
What You Will Do:
As the Executive Officer to the CEO, you will work closely with the CEO, Mayor, and Councillors, providing high-level professional support and advice to ensure the successful management and strategic direction of the organisation. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring the smooth functioning of the Executive Office, its interface with the elected Council and driving Governance policy and compliance. You will represent the CEO’s office in a variety of settings. Your contributions will be influential in shaping the organisation's future, all while working within a collaborative and forward-thinking team.
What We Are Looking For:
Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and/or significant practical experience in a similar role.
Demonstrated experience in the management of the organisational and legislative compliance and reporting with emphasis on corporate reporting, Governance Compliance, risk management and audit.
Sound knowledge and understanding of the economic, social, technical and political environment and relevant legislation, policies and processes impacting on local government.
Proven experience in a high-level executive support role dealing with confidential and sensitive issues, including a demonstrated capacity to provide specialist expertise, advice and recommendations.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with emphasis in the areas of consultation, advocacy, negotiation, influencing, conflict resolution and assertiveness.
Demonstrated capacity to professionally manage and foster positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
