What You’ll be doing:
The Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) plays a pivotal role in safeguarding the organisation's technology infrastructure, ensuring that all systems, data, and assets are protected from cyber threats. This strategic leadership role requires a forward-thinking and hands-on individual who can develop and implement comprehensive information security programs aligned with organisational risk management objectives. The CISO will lead the charge in creating robust security systems, guiding technology initiatives, and ensuring that RFS's reputation, data, and intellectual property are secure against evolving cyber threats. In this role, the CISO will be integral in establishing a security-focused culture across the organisation, ensuring RFS remains resilient in the face of cyber threats while supporting the organisation's mission to serve and protect the community.
To thrive in this role, you will:
- Use your hands-on experience in Cyber security to manage a strategic and comprehensive information security program
- Develop a capability framework of security resources
- Have experience implementing a Cyber security strategy and plan that includes consideration of threats, risks and vulnerabilities that impact the protection of the agency’s information and systems within the agency’s Cyber security risk tolerance
- Ensure that all staff, including consultants, contractors and outsourced service providers, understand the Cyber security requirements of their roles
- Have proven experience in strategic, operational and tactical Cyber threat intelligence and an intricate understanding of the intelligence process
- Have highly developed problem solving and critical thinking skills
- The ability to think outside of the box to formulate plausible scenarios and highly effective strategies to meet organisational requirements and facilitate positive outcomes
The commencing salary will be considered in alignment with skills and experience.
