About the Role
As Utilities Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in planning, developing, and managing utility infrastructure projects that align with organisational goals and regulatory requirements. Leading multidisciplinary teams, collaborating with stakeholders, and ensuring system reliability will be at the core of your responsibilities. Your expertise will shape sustainable solutions and foster growth and innovation across our projects.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee planning, design, and maintenance of water, wastewater, stormwater, and dry utilities.
Drive sustainability and efficiency in utility operations.
Collaborate with stakeholders, including municipalities and regulatory bodies.
Ensure compliance with environmental and safety standards.
Manage budgets, resources, risk assessments, and documentation.
Required Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
7+ years' experience in utility management or related fields.
Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, GIS tools, and data analysis.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements.
Key Selection Criteria
Demonstrated knowledge and practical experience in the design, construction, and maintenance of water, wastewater, stormwater, and dry utility infrastructure systems.
Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, mentor staff, and foster a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.
Experience managing complex utility projects, overseeing budgets, optimizing resources, and delivering outcomes within tight timeframes.
Strong understanding of local, state, and federal regulations related to utilities, including permitting processes, environmental standards, and safety protocols.
Advanced skills in identifying risks, proposing innovative solutions, and effectively engaging with stakeholders to achieve project goals.
