We’re recruiting a Senior Finance Officer (A06:1 to A06:4) to support the General Ledger and Reporting Team of a Queensland Government department through month-end, quarter-end, and EOFY processes.

What's on offer to you?

• 6 months contract with possible extension, Immediate start
• Hybrid working (3 days in-office, 2 from home once settled)
• Brisbane-based role

The Role: You’ll work closely with the team on:

• Financial and departmental reporting
• Month-end and quarter-end close processes
• General ledger maintenance and monthly reconciliations
• Annual leave accruals (ALS)
• Support for departmental reporting using Tridata (QIA module)
• Assisting with background ledger changes in line with Machinery of Government (MoG) adjustments
• Preparing for the department’s ECC6 to S4Hana SAP migration project
• Undertake research, analysis and investigation into financial accounting issues

What You’ll Bring

• A solid foundation in GL accounting, reconciliations, and reporting
• Strong understanding of month-end and EOFY processes
• Experience with Government financial systems is highly regarded
• A proactive and independent approach, with the ability to get up to speed quickly
