Established Australian Business is recruiting for a Senior Financial Accountant -

• Immediate start
• $50 - $55 per hour + super
• 6 month contracting opportunity

This role is an excellent opportunity for professionals transitioning from a Big 4 firm/Second-tier firm who are eager to gain valuable commercial experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the full spectrum of financial accounting, including month-end and year-end processes.
• Prepare and review month-end and quarterly financial reports.
• Prepare consolidated statutory financial statements.
• Actively participate in all internal and external audit engagements (e.g., year-end audit).
• Review balance sheet reconciliations.
• Participate in internal control and system reviews, and document policies and procedures.
• Manage tax compliance, including Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) and Business Activity Statements (BAS).
• Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to support decision-making.

Skills:

• CA/CA qualified
• Proven experience in financial accounting and reporting
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
