About the role

We are seeking a full-time Sales & Stock Assistant to join our team at the Bundaberg Outdoor Power Centre. This role is crucial in providing excellent customer service and maintaining the efficient operation of our retail store. As a Sales & Stock Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting customers with their purchases, processing transactions, and ensuring our inventory is well-stocked and organised.

What you'll be doing

Provide friendly and knowledgeable customer service to assist customers with their purchases

Operate the point-of-sale system to process customer transactions accurately and efficiently

Maintain store displays and merchandising to create an inviting shopping environment

Receive and unpack deliveries, ensure products are correctly stored and labelled

Conduct regular stock counts and replenish shelves as needed

Assist with general store operations and duties as required

What we're looking for

Previous experience in a retail or customer service role, preferably in a similar industry

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to provide excellent customer service

Basic computer literacy and attention to detail with the ability to work accurately and efficiently

Enthusiasm for working as part of a team and a willingness to learn

Good numerical skills and the ability to handle cash and process transactions

Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including weekends and public holidays
