Team Leader

Location - Dubbo

Employment type - Temporary Fulltime - 12 Month Contract

Salary - Clerk Grade 9/10 $125,693.00 - $138,510.00 Plus Superannuation and Leave Loading

This position is open to Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people only

Your role

There is an opportunity for AHO staff to express their interest and gain experience in the position of Team Leader, Western regional team for up to 12 months with possible extension. This is an exciting opportunity to make a difference, work in a high-performing team.

What you'll do

  • Manage the development of active and collaborative working partnerships with Aboriginal Community Housing Providers, community leaders, key government stakeholders, NGOs and clients. Ensure the effective delivery of services and programs in contract implementation, client and asset services within approved policies and programs.
  • Design, implement and coordinate regional based project, programs and initiatives that deliver effective business unit outcomes and meet client service delivery needs by using project management methodologies and processes to ensure consistent high quality outcomes.
  • Prepare a range of regional-related documents for key stakeholders as required, including status updates and reports.
  • Support and lead the regions issue resolution, critical incident and Ministerial response processes to ensure a responsive and effective resolution.

Key Challenges

  • Providing expert advice within tight deadlines in an environment characterized by conflicting priorities and multiple stakeholders.
  • Maintaining oversight of project progress and ensuring issues/risks are brought to the attention of the RRM and others as required.

  • A valid NSW open drivers' licence, as travel is required for this position (sufficient notice will be required)

Written confirmation from 2-3 Aboriginal organisations within the community in which you live/work, which addresses the three criteria listed below:

  • is accepted as a such by the Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander community.
