Job Summary:
In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality dishes according to our catering menu. You will work closely with the Head Chef and kitchen team to ensure efficient food production while maintaining high standards of hygiene, safety, and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menus.
Assist in food preparation, ensuring timely and high-quality service.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food storage areas.
Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are followed at all times.
Monitor stock levels and report shortages to the Head Chef or kitchen supervisor.
Prepare food to meet special dietary requirements
Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Follow portion control guidelines to minimize food waste.
Support apprentice and train staff when/if necessary
Skills & Qualifications:
Formal qualifications as a Cook or a minimum of 12 months experience as a Cook.
Knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple orders simultaneously.
Strong attention to detail and presentation.
Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work unsupervised
