Role Overview:

As a Registered Nurse in our general practice, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. Working closely with GPs, allied health professionals, and administrative staff, you will provide clinical support, health education, and chronic disease management while contributing to the overall efficiency and excellence of our practice.

Working Hours:

Full Time:
Hours: 8:00am – 4:00pm or 9:00am – 5:00pm, Monday to Friday

Key Responsibilities:

Provide high-quality nursing care and clinical support to GPs and patients

Perform health assessments, wound care, immunisations, ECGs, and other clinical procedures

Assist in chronic disease management and care planning

Coordinate patient recalls and reminders, and follow-up care

Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records

Promote health education and preventative care strategies

Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and healthcare standards

Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes

Key Requirements:

Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse

Previous experience in a general practice or primary healthcare setting (2 years)

Experience with audiometric and spirometry testing is desired

Strong clinical and assessment skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

Knowledge of chronic disease management and care planning (e.g. diabetes, asthma, heart disease)

Familiarity with Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS) items

Proficiency in using medical software (Best Practice,) and Microsoft Office

Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team in a busy environment

A current CPR certificate and relevant immunisation status
