Reporting to the Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for the following duties:
- Working as part of the Accounts team you will be allocating daily payments and providing detailed allocation reports to the sales team
- Send reminder emails and make outbound phone calls chasing overdue invoices to ensure timely payments
- Manage the accounts inbox and resolve email and phone queries ensuring all matters are addressed and resolved promptly
- Verify new customers ABN and GST status on a daily basis
- Create and reviewing outstanding invoice reports on a weekly basis and ensure any overdue balances are paid promptly
- Prepare and distribute the weekly COB customer report report for the sales team
- Reconcile the AmEx statements for the management team and submit to the Shared Service team for payment
- General office duties including mail, banking, petty cash, adhoc administration tasks and internal queries

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have experience in the following:
- A positive attitude
- Relevant degree or TAFE qualification in accounting
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience is an advantage but not essential
- Intermediate Excel skills along with a thirst for putting your accounting knowledge into practice
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- A familiarity with basic accounting principles and financial procedures
- Exceptional written & verbal communication skills with a bubbly and energetic approach to work
