The Opportunity

As a Senior Education Officer, you will:

• Provide Education Services for children who come under the care of, or to the attention of the Department of Communities, with an emphasis on more complex cases.
• Develop and maintain education programs and supports to children, schools, carers and/or families.
• Consult and negotiate with internal and external education stakeholders as appropriate.
• Provide educational and social skill development to the child, family or caregiver where appropriate.
• Coordinate, implement and support education related Departmental projects and policy initiatives.
• Provide education case practice consultation and support to assigned Education Officers.
