About the role
We are seeking an enthusiastic leader who is passionate about supporting people with disabilities. The role of the Assistant Coordinator is to support the Coordinator to deliver services to participants.
We provide a variety of support services which include our group support and individualised support services.
You will be required to assist with the day to day operations at our DO Connect Sunbury service.
Selection Criteria
Ability to use and operate the Supportability client management system database, or a similar database.
The ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem solving and negotiating skills.
Ability to work independently, show initiative and work productively with a team environment.
Ability to communicate with a diverse range of people and possess interpersonal skills which enhances the role.
Previous experience in the disability sector or other relevant community service sectors.
Previous experience monitoring participant support funding.
An appreciation of and understanding of best practice in developing and implementing positive behaviour support strategies.
Experience and/or qualification in disability or community services, and be prepared to undertake study, or willingness to learn new skills and abilities.
Knowledge of NDIS funding and Standards.
