East Wimmera Health Service (EWHS) is a fully accredited small rural health service across five campuses encompassing five communities in the Buloke and Northern Grampians Shires in North Western Victoria.

Applications are invited from qualified Chefs or experienced cooks or third- or fourth-year apprentices looking to upskill (and complete further education) for the Chef role at our Birchip Campus.

This position consists of leading a dedicated team of experienced staff in providing quality meals for acute patients, aged care residents, Planned Activity Group clients, meals on wheels’ clients, and function catering.

The successful applicant/s will be team-orientated with formal qualifications or equivalent experience in the industry. A sound knowledge of ordering, food safety, budgeting and staff supervision would be an advantage.

Candidates who are willing to work toward a Certificate in Commercial Cookery will also be considered.
