We are looking for a seasoned Manager in our Hire Of Transportable Building Division who can continue the strong leadership of our team and look after the needs our valued customers.

This will be your main “Motto” while overseeing our staff, assets, vendors, equipment, budgets and overall hire of transportable building operations.

We are looking for someone who has vast experience in asset and people management, scheduling and delivery, warehousing, yard management and of course overall management skills.

We need you to be a fast, efficient solution finder. You’ll have a lot to do – therefore time management and the ability to multi-task all day long is absolutely essential.

Responsibilities:

• Managing inventory – Ensuring portable buildings are available, properly maintained, and meet safety standards, including company operational assets.

• Contract oversight – Raising hire contracts as required and reviewing them to verify pricing, selected buildings, and supporting services like site setup and transport.

• Customer relations – Advising clients on building configurations, customization options, responding to inquiries, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

• Staff supervision – Hiring, training, and overseeing / monitoring employees performance. Encouraging a positive workplace culture

• Compliance & safety – Ensuring adherence to industry regulations, building codes, and occupational health and safety standards.

• Purchasing – CAPEX, raising and approving purchase orders for other team members, and managing supply procurement.

• Maintenance - Coordinating repairs, overseeing asset upkeep, and assets meet quality control standards.

• Quality control – Overseeing the presentation of buildings, ensuring they are clean, structurally sound, free from damage, and meet company standards.

• Logistics & scheduling – Managing scheduling for efficient operations, overseeing on-time deliveries, coordinating site setup, and arranging timely pickups.

• Vendor relationships & reviews – Establishing and maintaining strong vendor partnerships, negotiating supply agreements, and conducting regular performance reviews to ensure quality and reliability

• Vendor invoice approval – Reviewing and approving vendor invoices to ensure accuracy and compliance with contractual terms.

• Stock control – Managing inventory of consumables and sundry items to ensure availability and minimise wastage.

• Team leadership – Supervising and supporting Equipment Hire Managers, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.

• Directive compliance – Responsible for reacting to all directions and instructions, as shall be given from time to time, by the Directors of the company.

Skills/ Experiences:

Atleast 3-5 year management experiences in the transport & logistics, rental, transportable bulding industry or similar.

Strong leadership and team management abilities.

Excellent problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.

Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Strong IT and Computer Skills

Outstanding organisational and multitasking abilities.

Strong interpersonal skills to manage staff and collaborate with other departments.

Ability to adapt to changing environments and handle multiple priorities
