We are an Australian family run business based in Revesby, who manufacture and distribute both steel door frames and fire doors. We are looking for an exceptional person to manage our busy warehouse on a permanent full time basis.
This role will involve supervising outgoing orders including packing trucks, maintaining stock levels, managing purchasing and inventory whilst ensuring the safe and efficient running of the warehouse.
The successful person will be responsible for:
Managing dispatch of goods (both steel door frames, doors and associated materials);
Loading and unloading trucks;
Ensuring the correct goods are loaded for dispatch at all times;
Maintaining thorough paperwork – accurate packing of items for deliveries and records of deliveries;
Coordinating and managing the inventory and purchasing for the warehouse, including container ordering, receipt and inspection of goods from suppliers; unloading deliveries and storing them in their correct place;
Moving goods around using a forklift;
Coordinating and running the delivery board / schedule efficiently to save time for our truck drivers whilst meeting customer expectations for deliveries;
Dealing with walk in customers who wish to purchase and / or collect goods
Ensuring all stock is correctly recorded, labelled and stored;
Reporting any damages or stock shortages;
Coordinating with courier services as required;
Other day to day warehouse duties as required.
Trucks are expected to be loaded and ready to go for our drivers to leave early each morning, so time management is crucial in this role both with ensuring the truck is loaded each afternoon, and goods are ready for dispatch first thing each day.
This role requires regular heavy lifting and manual handling, standing and moving about in a warehouse environment.
To be the successful candidate for this role, you must be an Australian Permanent Resident and have:
A valid Forklift License (LF)
3–5 years of warehouse experience or construction work, including at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or leadership role
Proven experience in stock control, container unloading, and order fulfilment
Strong organisational, communication and time management skills;
Be physically fit and comfortable with manual handling tasks;
Solid understanding of warehouse safety practices and compliance.
This role is full time from 6.30am – 3.00pm Monday to Friday. Occasional paid overtime or weekend work may be required during peak times.
