The Role:
The Warehouse & Logistics Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, including managing the delivery drivers, warehouse staff, and fleet maintenance.
Efficient order fulfilment is key, along with adherence to HACCP and safety standards.
By organising delivery runs, maintaining warehouse cleanliness, and setting employee schedules, the Warehouse & Logistics Operations Manager drives operational excellence, supports customer satisfaction, and contributes to the company’s overall success.
We are looking for a calm and focused individual who has experience in the following:
Team Management:
• Supervise and support delivery drivers and warehouse pick & packers.
• Set weekly employee shifts, ensuring adequate staffing and coverage.
Fleet and Equipment Management:
• Oversee the maintenance and servicing of delivery vans and warehouse equipment.
Operational Efficiency:
• Organise and optimise daily delivery runs for timeliness and cost-effectiveness.
• Monitor warehouse workflows to ensure efficient picking, packing, and dispatching of orders.
Compliance and Safety:
• Ensure HACCP and food safety standards are always followed.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe warehouse environment and conduct regular safety audits.
Inventory Coordination:
• Work closely with the Stock & Inventory Manager to ensure accurate stock levels and proper storage.
Customer Service Collaboration:
• Partner with the Customer Service team to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Provide updates on delivery schedules and address any customer complaints promptly.
Reporting and Communication:
• Report directly to the CEO on operational performance, challenges, and improvements.
• Collaborate with other managers to align operations with company goals.
About You:
• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in operations management, preferably in foodservice or logistics.
• Strong understanding of warehouse operations, logistics management, and inventory control processes.
• Familiarity with HACCP principles, food safety regulations, and health and safety standards.
• Proven experience in fleet management, including vehicle maintenance and delivery coordination.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in using operational software (e.g., inventory management systems, fleet tracking tools) and:
• A C-class Drivers Licence.
