About the role

Join our dynamic team at Harbour Neurology as a full-time Medical Receptionist in our North Sydney office. In this essential role, you will be a key part of our team of receptionists, ensuring our patients receive optimal medical care and a warm and professional experience from the moment they enter our practice.

What you will be doing

Greet and welcome patients in a friendly and courteous manner

Answer incoming telephone calls and emails to schedule appointments, manage patient records and answer patient inquiries

Receiving confidential medical information from patients and updating our medical records system

Ensuring patient medical records are complete before appointments

Billing patients after their appointments and booking future appointments

Maintain and organise our welcoming reception space to create a positive first impression

Liaising with insurers to arrange appointments and invoicing

What we are looking for

Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar customer service role

Clear, articulate pronunciation suitable for elderly patients

Strong attention to detail

Fast and accurate typing skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to interact with patients, colleagues, and healthcare providers

Willingness to learn medical procedures and usage of medical practice management software

A friendly, professional, and compassionate demeanour

Applicants with a background in Allied Health would be well suited to this role
