Delta Specialist English Tuition is a boutique and highly specialised HSC tuition firm located in Epping, NSW. We're seeking an immaculately-presented Administrative Officer (AO) to assist in all aspects of running our tuition business, as well as that of our new sister business located within the same building.

Our businesses represent the gold-standard services in the industry and as such, the values, work-ethic and attention-to-detail of the successful candidate will reflect our price point. We're located very close to Epping station and both centres are beautifully appointed for the benefit of our staff.

$37.50 – $45.00 per hour including superannuation depending on candidate experience and qualification.

Essential Criteria:

Ability to work after-hours; our shifts are 3 pm to 8 pm on weekdays and 9 am to 6 pm on weekends (typically, weekend shifts are rostered from 9 am to 2 pm OR 1 pm to 6 pm). Must be available to work Thursdays and Fridays, alongside at least one shift on weekends.

Immaculate personal presentation, both in terms of professional attire and communication. This is extremely important as you'll be the first point of contact for new parents and students and thus will be representing Delta in your work and presentation.

Demonstrate a highly polished phone manner with choice diction, clear articulation, confidence and adaptability to communicating with different parties (e.g. EALD parents).

Able to draft clear, articulate, and professional emails and internal communications, with a high standard of written English.

Able to reliably present as extroverted and confident in explaining Delta to new (and sometimes sceptical) parents, and in all interactions with students and parents.

Display self-initiative to contribute, particularly in periods of low enquiry activity; which may include tasks such as auditing and updating standard practice guidelines.

Attention to detail, with very low tolerance for below-standard work.

Proficient knowledge of the HSC and English Advanced syllabus is strongly desired.

Key Responsibilities:

Explaining to parents & students how tuition at Delta (and its sister business) works and what our values are;

Answering incoming phone calls and email correspondence;

Welcoming enquiring parents and students to our centre and warmly engaging with them;

Catching up on all unread/unanswered correspondence at the start of each shift (e.g. missed calls and emails received outside of shift hours) and ensuring they are responded to appropriately;

Keeping detailed documentation of all activity and correspondence;

Accurately raising invoices and processing payments;

Managing records on the portal and gathering required information (including information about enquiries, enrolments, class allocations, schools and assessments, etc.);

Prime responsibility to ensure the centre is clean and maintained for use by students and staff (garbage disposal and routine vacuuming not required);

Supporting academic staff with administrative tasks upon request, actively contributing to and reviewing up-to-date guidelines of best administrative practice and procedure;

Alerting management of errors or concerns you become aware of, including issues with portal functionality and any need for further staff training;

Diligently keeping across announcements and changes concerning administrative and wider operational processes (usually provided via email or Slack posts).
