About the role

We are currently seeking an experienced and self-motivated individual with a passion for procurement and high-level customer service to join our dynamic and high-performing team. The successful candidate will work closely with our Operations & Sales team at our Dandenong South facility to manage purchasing activities and ensure efficient supply chain operations.

Key responsibilities include:

• Local and international purchasing, ensuring best pricing across manufacturing and construction divisions

• Purchasing across all Divisions (manufacturing & construction entities)

• Purchasing for all construction materials required onsite (e.g. Crane hire, temporary fencing, water, sand etc)

• Coordination of international freight for goods purchased from overseas including liaison with freight forwarders, container bookings etc. (current purchases are 50% local, 50% overseas)

• Management of company Fleet

• Maintenance of inventory item pricing within the system

• Inventory control of items across all company sites (total of 8) including inwards good receipting and coordination of monthly stock takes

Skills and experience

Previous experience in a purchasing/inventory role (qualification in Supply Chain/Procurement preferred but not essential)

High level attention to detail and strong organisational skills

Excellent oral and written communication skills including negotiation skills

High level computer skills inc Excel with previous experience within a warehouse management system as a benefit

Strong ability to collaborate effectively within a team
