About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and enthusiastic Junior Accountant to join our expanding finance team. In this role, you will work closely with our Senior Accountant, supporting the daily accounting operations across multiple companies. If you have a strong foundation in accounting principles, are comfortable with MYOB and Xero, and are eager to grow your career in a dynamic, high-growth environment, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

Daily Accounting Tasks: Assist with bookkeeping, managing accounts payable/receivable, and reconciling bank statements.

Financial Reporting: Support month-end and year-end closing processes and help prepare financial reports.

Software Utilisation: Maintain and update financial records using MYOB and Xero.

Collaboration: Work with the Senior Accountant on financial data analysis and reporting to support business decisions.

Compliance & Audits: Aid in ensuring adherence to internal controls, regulatory requirements, and assist during audits.

Process Improvement: Contribute ideas to streamline accounting processes and enhance operational efficiency.

Skills & Experience Required

Experience: 1-3 years in an accounting or bookkeeping role, or a recent graduate with a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with accounting software such as MYOB and/or Xero.

Attention to Detail: Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail.

Foundational Knowledge: Solid understanding of basic accounting principles.

Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment.

Bonus: Knowledge of Australian accounting standards and regulations.
