Location: 13 Coley Street, Acacia Ridge
We have an exciting opportunity for a Service Coordinator based at our Acacia Ridge service.
Meals on Wheels has operated successfully in the Aged Care Sector for over 70 years and now provides services to many others in our communities including NDIS participants. Within the Brisbane South Aged Care Planning Region, 11 Meals on Wheels Services have amalgamated to become Meals on Wheels Brisbane South.
We are seeking an enthusiastic, committed person who will work closely with our volunteers and clients. The ideal person has an administrative background, has great customer service experience and is a good problem solver.
The purpose of this position is to coordinate the provision of Meals on Wheels services to clients in accordance with the organisation’s Policies and Procedures, through efficient processes and guidance of volunteers.
In this role you will be responsible for
· Ensure that My Aged Care referrals are processed, and the service portal is maintained as per policies and procedures.
· Organise meal and run sheets including maintaining volunteer schedules, inductions and programs.
· Organise the collection and processing of weekly meal payments, including the issuing of receipts, to ensure all funds are accounted for.
· Monitor operations and delivery of all relevant services to ensure compliance with Food Safety regulations and Aged Care Standards, policies and procedures.
· Monitor and attend to asset maintenance as per policies and procedures and food safety requirements.
· Maintain positive working relationships by encouraging good communication processes and teamwork with all Staff and Volunteers.
About You
· Demonstrated ability to coordinate the day-to-day activities of a frontline community service including staff, volunteers, administration, meal management and financial tasks.
· Demonstrated experience or willingness to learn, working with government programs including CHSP, HCP and NDIS.
· Demonstrated experience in planning, working and managing time with minimal supervision and under pressure, including the ability to discern priorities, plan ahead and coordinate with others to complete tasks.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Experience with computer systems, software and Microsoft Office.
