About the role:

We are looking for an experienced CNC operator to work as part of our production team in Brisbane as we seek to expand our use of CNC machines for the manufacturing of HDPE and timber play equipment. You will play a key role in producing custom orders on these machines and helping our new product design team to bring new and exciting play ideas to life. We would love to find someone who has experience in CNC operation particularly connected to HDPE or timbers, and brings an appetite to support us as we grow.

Load raw materials into CNC machines and ensure proper machine settings.

Monitor machine operations to ensure parts are produced according to specifications.

Inspect finished parts for quality and accuracy, adjusting as necessary.

Troubleshoot issues with CNC machinery and perform routine maintenance tasks.

Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions to determine machining requirements and assist in preparing required programs/files.

Work with the production manager as we specify the second machine and be part of the team as this is installed and brought up to capacity.

Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety guidelines and procedures.

Collaborate with team members to optimise production processes and improve efficiency.

Meet production targets and deadlines while maintaining a high standard of workmanship.

Demonstrate a problem-solving mindset to address any production issues effectively.

Maintain a strong commitment to workplace safety protocols.

Willingness to perform additional tasks beyond CNC operations as needed.

Skills and Qualifications:

Proven experience as a CNC Operator, preferably in the manufacturing industry.

Proficient in operating a 3-axis overhead router.

Familiarity with Alphacam software is highly advantageous.

Experience working with timber and plastics.

Competently use power tools and machinery as necessary for the role.

Collaborate with a dynamic team of product-focused professionals from diverse backgrounds.

Thrive in a fast-paced business growth environment, where we embrace agility and rapid progress.

Enjoy the advantages of being part of a small team, gaining exposure to various aspects of the business.

We foster a supportive environment, working together to provide the best for our customers.
