About the role

We are seeking an experienced CNC Machine Operator to join our dynamic team at Castle Carpentry and Cladding in Braeside, Victoria. As a full-time CNC Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining state-of-the-art CNC machinery to produce high-quality carpentry and cladding components for our construction projects.

What you'll be doing

• Operating CNC machines to cut, shape, and finish wood and other materials according to blueprints and specifications
• Monitoring machine operations and making adjustments as needed to ensure optimal performance and product quality
• Performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC machines to keep them in good working condition
• Maintaining detailed records of production, machine usage, and quality control checks
• Collaborating with the production team to identify and implement process improvements
• Adhering to all health, safety, and environmental regulations in the workplace

What we're looking for

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a CNC Machine Operator in a manufacturing preferably with aluminium
• Waterjet and break press experience preferred
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality
• Ability to work effectively in a team and follow instructions
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Relevant technical certifications or qualifications in CNC machine operation or woodworking
