Role Description Writer – NSW Government
- Location: Sydney CBD + WFH (hybrid)
- Pay Rate: $60 - $75 per hour + Super
- Hours: Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week
- Assignment Length: Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week
In this role, you’ll help build & refine the foundation of organisational structure by crafting compliant & capability aligned position descriptions that reflect evolving business needs. Key Accountabilities:
- Conduct job analysis & write position descriptions that align with the NSW Public Sector Capability Framework
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather & interpret job-related information
- Ensure role design activities comply with naming conventions, framework alignment, and documentation standards
- Provide expert advice on job design concepts & position evaluations
- Perform research & market analysis to support role design and decision-making processes
What We’re looking For:
- Proven experience in position description writing, job evaluation or role design within large or complex organisations
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate complex information into clear, structured documentation
- Familiarity with the NSW Public Sector Capability Framework is desirable
- Excellent communication & stakeholder engagement skills
