Content Writer / Editor
I'm on the hunt for an experienced and versatile Web Content Writer/Editor to join our team on an exciting short-term project. Based in the heart of Sydney's CBD, you'll play a key role in shaping the voice and structure of our new website set to launch in late 2025.
About the role:
As part of a major website redevelopment, we're conducting a comprehensive content audit and overhaul. Your mission is to collaborate with internal stakeholders and subject matter experts to review, refresh and migrate content that is clear, concise, inclusive, and user-focused - all while aligning with our business goals and values.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate content professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and wants to make a tangible impact in a highly visible project.
What you'll be doing:
- Reviewing, rewriting, and editing existing online content for clarity, accessibility, and alignment with organisational tone and style.
- Engaging with subject matter experts across departments to gather insights and ensure accuracy.
- Managing your workload and progress independently, ensuring key milestones are met.
- Preparing content for seamless migration to the new platform.
About you:
- Proven experience writing and editing online content for websites, ideally large or complex organisations.
- Experience working in cross-functional teams, particularly within website development projects.
- An eagle eye for detail and a commitment to producing polished, user-centred content.
- Excellent project management and documentation skills.
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to confidently engage with diverse stakeholders.
- Expertise in writing for accessibility and adapting content for different audiences.
Bonus points if you have:
- A degree in Communications, Journalism or a related field.
- Prior experience writing and editing content for government websites.
Why join?
You'll be working on a project that's meaningful and high-impact, with a supportive team that values quality work, collaboration, and innovative thinking. Plus, there's the potential for extension beyond the initial 16 weeks for the right candidate.
