About the role

As an Asbestos Removal Leading Hand at Coastal Asbestos, you will play a crucial role in supervising and leading a team of asbestos removal workers. This full-time position is based in Arundel, QLD 4214, where you will be responsible for ensuring safe and efficient asbestos removal operations.

What you'll be doing

• Supervise and direct a team of asbestos removal workers to ensure all tasks are completed safely and effectively
• Coordinate and monitor the work of the team, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and industry best practices
• Provide on-site training and guidance to team members to maintain high standards of work
• Oversee the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and other safety equipment
• Communicate with clients and project managers to provide updates and address any concerns
• Ensure all asbestos removal activities are documented and comply with relevant regulations
• Identify and address any issues or risks that arise during the removal process

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a leading hand or supervisor in the asbestos removal industry
• Thorough understanding of asbestos removal procedures, safety protocols, and relevant regulations
• Excellent communication and leadership skills to effectively manage a team
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities to ensure safe and efficient operations
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and adhere to strict safety standards
• Relevant certifications and licenses, such as an asbestos removal license, are highly desirable
