About the opportunity:
We're looking for a skilled Business Analyst - Digital Transformation to help shape the future of geoscience data in South Australia. Based within the Geological Survey of South Australia (GSSA), this role supports digital transformation projects linked to the South Australian Resources Information Gateway (SARIG) Core Intelligence Program. You'll play a key part in improving how geoscience data is accessed and used, enhancing the capabilities of South Australia's Drill Core Library. The Geological Survey of South Australia (GSSA), is a globally recognised geoscience group delivering geological research, programs, and data and information, as well as managing the South Australian Drill Core Library and collaborating with researchers, other government agencies, universities and industry on technical innovation and science.
Key Selection Criteria:

Proven experience analysing strategic business needs, processes and systems and working with business areas and ICT experts to develop and deliver appropriate business practices, operational policies and ICT solutions.
Proven experience in providing expert advisory and consultancy services to senior management, including analysing quantitative and qualitative data, and the preparation of analysis reports, briefing papers and submissions.
Demonstrated well developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills to develop and manage strategic networks, present complex concepts clearly, prepare expert documents and influence and effectively negotiate significant, sensitive and complex outcomes and deliverables.
Ability to think strategically, conceptually and creatively, and to analyse and resolve complex business problems, at both strategic and operational levels, and recommend effective and efficient solutions.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of people, understand customers' issues and problems and building productive working relationships with peers, other work colleagues and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Desirable: Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline
Remuneration:
ASO7 salary range $108,109 - $116,864 per annum + superannuation
Full-time role, working 37.5 hours per week
Special Conditions:
This is a contract/term vacancy up to 30 June 2026.
