A luxury retailer of some of Europe's finest brands across bathroomware are seeking a motivated and driven BDM to join their Sydney team.
This is a full-time position focused in the Sydney Metro area, and you will be responsible for driving business growth and strengthening client relationships across the retail sector.
The territory for this role extends to NSW & ACT, so occasional interstate travel is required.
Key responsibilities
Manage and develop existing accounts, as well as proactively identify and secure new business opportunities within the retail industry
Develop and implement sales training with clients sales staff, delivering effective and innovative strategies
Maximise product display potential within customer showrooms
Develop and maintain a customer call-cycle plan which recognises individual customer needs for representation, sales training etc. and deliver tailored solutions to meet their objectives
Optimise all opportunities to develop the business with its customers
Prepare annual sales forecasts for each designated customer to be tracked on quarterly reports
Manage all retail customer service requirements including special events, technical support, promotional requirements and ensure prompt attention to customer service requests
Participation in any special events such as exhibitions, trade nights, entertaining of clients and suppliers
Understand client needs and requirements, and deliver tailored solutions to meet their objectives
Skills and experience
Proven track record of success in a B2B sales or account management role, ideally within premium retail products
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients
Demonstrated negotiation and contract management skills
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market data and trends
Proactive, results-driven and highly motivated approach to achieve sales targets
Tertiary qualification in a relevant field is highly regarded
